By installing a Low Speed Start Kit you can prevent your Thermo King engine from going immediately to high speed on unit start up.
The kit includes a mounting plate and switch that mounts easily on the outside of the engine block. The throttle solenoid ground wire is routed through the switch and the installation is complete. At block temperatures below 70°F the switch will be open preventing the throttle solenoid from energizing. The engine will stay in low speed until the block temperature reaches 90°F. At that time, the switch will close, allowing the engine to go to high speed.
Installation is easy, requiring only a few minutes and no special tools. Everything needed for the installation, including wire and splice connectors are included in the kit.
