The RDM II - Remote Digital Monitor by Thermo King is designed to let you know at all times the temperature that exists inside your refrigerated truck or trailer. While you're running, a simple glance in the side mirror tells you the operating mode of your refrigeration unit. The RDM II can be set for the reverse display, which allows you to read the digits and letters normally in your mirror, or they can be set for normal reading while the truck is parked.

Two
Models. The RDM II is available in two models. 40-604 has a single temperature sensing probe. 40-605 is equipped for a second probe, and ahs a manual switch on the display for checking the temperature of either probe.
Display Temperature. Temperatures sensing probe inside the trailer or truck measures temperature for display on the monitor.
Display Operating Mode. Mode indicator lets you know whether your refrigeration unit is heating, cooling or defrosting and also flashes a warning in case of unit mode malfunction.
Mirror Reading. Set switch to the up position and the digits and numbers all appear in reverse. This lets you read them normally in your side mirror when you're on the road.
Regular Reading. Set switch to the drop down position and the digits appear normally for direct reading when the truck or trailer is parked.
Easy To Read. Specially selected color won't interfere with night driving. Bright yellow, fluorescent digits and letters are large and illuminated, making them easy to read any time, day or night.
Isolated. The RDM II has been electronically isolated from your refrigeration unit's electrical system.
Rugged Construction. Thermo King's RDM II is built of non-corrosive materials to resist all types of weather. The inside micro-circuitry has been sealed weather tight, and is vibration-proof.
Cycle Sentry Connection. On Cycle-Sentry equipped units, the RDM II can be connected to indicate if the refrigeration unit fails to start or is off, simply by wiring it to the On/OFF switch of the unit.
Economical. Low current requirement of the RDM II draws a mere 3 watts (1/4 amp).
Easy Installation. Comes ready to install in minutes. Complete with installation hardware and instructions.
Automatic Calibration Check. The RDM II is equipped with an automatic calibration check feature. When turned on, a self testing cycle will take place automatically to verify that the device is within calibration.
Manual Calibration Check. Calibration can be checked manually any time when the display is on by throwing the lower switch to CAL (two-probe model 40-605 only).
Calibration Resetting. The RDM II is calibrated at time of manufacture and should never need recalibration. However, if desired, calibration can be reset.
Probe Check While Running. The two-probe model (40-605) can also be connected to trailer marker lights to allow the driver to check the temperature of the second probe simply by momentarily turning the trailer lights on or off.
