Thermo King's Super EMI self-evacuating filter (SEF) is a new, revolutionary design. Actually two filters in one, this new, patented design, is both a fuel filter and a water separator, together in one canister. What's more, the special SEF design of this new filter provides for return of water and sediment to the fuel tank where it is drained during routine maintenance. Together, the exclusive filter media and SEF design give the filter an especially long service life with a Super Extended Maintenance Interval (EMI) of up to 2500 hours or one year.

A new kit, available from your authorized Thermo King dealer, will convert your units to use the new Super EMI filter. The kit includes a replacement mounting bracket, necessary hoses and installation hardware.

Installation of the new bracket is easy. It can be mounted in the same location as the current bracket using the existing bolts. From there, it's just a matter of connecting the hoses and spinning on the new filter.

The fast and easy to change spin-on design of the new Super EMI filter makes replacement a breeze. Spin off the old, spin on the new. It takes just a minute.

What's more, replacement is a lot less messy. Say good-bye to fuel ending up all over everything. You'll spill a lot less with the spin-on filter design.

Better Filtration For Half The Cost  

• Greater improved filtration capacity - Not only does the new design provide considerably more filter media surface area, but the media itself has been improved significantly in terms of its ability to remove particles and sludge from the fuel. 

• Little or no priming of the engine - The Super EMI filter can be filled with fuel before installation. 

• Eliminate leaks - The spin-on design is virtually leak-proof. It has only one external sealing area that "pressure seals" when installed. The old design has seven radial seals, any one of which is prone to leakage.
