Thermo King gear reduction starter motors go through an extensive remanufacturing process in order to restore them to their original equipment performance condition.
Throughout the remanufacturing process, individual components are thoroughly cleaned and closely inspected for structural damage, excessive wear, heat damage, and dimensional specifications. All components not meeting specifications are discarded.
All components that pass inspection are restored to original equipment conditions and specifications. Armatures are high pressure glass bead cleaned, varnished, refinished, and inspected, both dimensionally and functionally. Field coils are visually inspected, cleaned, and then functionally inspected.
Each component is refinished to its original condition. Components that were originally plated are stripped and replated (zinc dichromate). Painted components are repainted.
Bearings, set screws, brush holder screws, gaskets and clutch spring clips are replaced 100% with new.
Following assembly, Thermo King remanufactured starters undergo final electrical and dimensional tests to verify that they meet original equipment tolerances and performance specifications. The result is a gear reduction starter that is as good as an original Thermo King starter. Furthermore, it's backed by the same warranty as a new Thermo King starter. And it's readily available from your authorized Thermo king dealer.
