Overview: Custom Care 

Two comprehensive maintenance programs are available to choose from:
 

3 year — 4,500 to 5,000 hour program

5 year — 7,500 to 9,000 hour program
 

You pay a single, fixed rate for the entire term of either program.

Emergency repairs are included in the program when performed at an authorized Thermo King dealer. (See program for complete coverage details and exclusions.)

PMs are included in both programs and are performed at factory recommended service intervals, along with routine scheduled interim inspections between the PMs which ensure reliable unit performance.

Custom Care eliminates the need to budget for unknown repair costs.

What Is the Custom Care Program?
Custom Care is a comprehensive maintenance program designed specifically to take care of all service and maintenance required for an owner-operator or a small fleet's refrigeration unit service needs.

Each unit is covered for all routine service work, as well as any unexpected repairs required. At fixed intervals, a local, authorized participating Thermo King dealer performs routine service, as well as the interim inspections which help assure unit reliability.

If an emergency repair should be required when traveling over-the-road, you can stop at any authorized Thermo King dealer for service. Because of the comprehensive program, all service related repairs are covered.

How Do I Sign Up?

  • Any participating authorized Thermo King dealer can sign you up for Custom care. At the time of sign up, you have the opportunity to choose a local dealer that you will use for routine service.

  • An agreement outlines and ensures your program coverage for either the 3 or 5 year program.

  • After you sign up, a decal is sent to you to affix near the serial plate, which identifies the coverage under the Custom Care program.

What is the Custom Care Program?
After purchasing an approved unit, there are two ways to pay for either program:

  • Prepay for three months of service coverage at sign up and then pay quarterly for the duration of the program.

  • At the time of unit purchase, the cost for either the 3 or 5 year program may be financed with the unit purchase.

What's Covered?

  • Any new Thermo King SB single temperature unit, with unit hours within program guidelines 

  • All PMs, including oil and filters 

  • Interim Inspections, to avoid unexpected emergency repairs 

  • All scheduled maintenance 

  • All unscheduled maintenance 

  • Breakdowns 

  • Unit batteries 

  • Annual cleaning of all coils — condenser, evaporator and radiator

What About My Warranty?
Standard warranty has been included, and program rates have taken the Thermo King warranty provided and included them in the Custom Care program to reduce overall program costs.
