Guaranteed Maintenance Program (GMP)

Overview: Guaranteed Maintenance 

A Thermo King SVC full GMP program provides complete coverage for all maintenance and repair, including any repairs required over-the-road.

GMP program coverage can be tailored to fit maintenance budgets, while at the same time reducing the expense associated with the maintaining of refrigeration units.

GMP scheduled maintenance ensures that emergency repairs on the road are limited, and provides better unit reliability.

Full GMP

A full GMP program provides complete, comprehensive coverage for all refrigeration unit maintenance required. It includes all scheduled and any unscheduled repairs that are required during the term of the agreement, including breakdown repairs that occur over-the-road.

PMs are included and performed at factory recommended service intervals, along with routine, scheduled interim inspections between the PM intervals, which helps ensure reliable unit performance.

Full GMP coverage is available for both new and in-service units. In-service units are evaluated and are required to meet program guidelines for coverage.

Standard with all GMP program is Thermo King SVC's single monthly consolidated invoice.

All GMP program work is performed by authorized participating Thermo King dealers.

GMP Less Exclusions

Similar to the full GMP, this program reduces the expense for maintaining older equipment by excluding the engine, compressor and microprocessor.

Under a GMP less exclusions, repairs required on excluded components are done on a time and materials basis, if required. All other parts of the units are covered under the GMP.

GMP Preventative Maintenance 

A Preventative Maintenance GMP provides basic unit protection, and can be selected for either new or used equipment.

Interim unit inspections are done on a scheduled basis, and comprehensive PMs are included in the Preventative Maintenance GMP, performed according to factory recommendations.

Potential problems are identified during inspections before they occur, limiting exposure to high cost failures.

Additional unit work is done on a time and materials basis.
