Description
An automatic cooling and heating bus air conditioning unit that mounts in the rear window area of the bus. This one-piece unit design increases air conditioning system reliability, simplifies unit installation and improves service access to unit components. Vinyl dipped condenser coil and an all aluminum frame resist corrosion. Heavy gauge aluminum header plates, special hairpin copper tubing and deep wave aluminum fin construction on the condenser, evaporator and heater coils withstand road shock and vibration. Heavy-duty industrial type fan motors feature replaceable bearings and brushes for extended service life. Unit controls mount in the return air section for easy access. The X426 compressor minimizes maintenance costs and can be easily overhauled in the field. The unique Thermo King electro-magnetic clutch design permits compressor on-off cycling operation to save fuel.
